For decades, Democrats have been feeding a beast they’ve kept chained up and released whenever their opponents became too difficult to overcome.

That beast is the cult of social justice. You’ll find these cult members screaming things heading up Black Lives Matter rallies today, screaming about injustice, white oppression, and police brutality while brutalizing innocent people, being as racist as they possibly can, and committing injustices with reckless abandon.

Democrats fostered this cult ages ago. Anytime their opponents brought up a point that could get traction, the left immediately broke out social justice-based arguments about their opponents being racist, sexist, homophobic, and more. Democrats stood proudly by those who sought “justice” for everything under the sun from racial justice, to reproductive justice, to climate justice.

It was a great time for the Democrats, but the problem was that as they continued to feed and use this beast it became too big for them to handle and now it’s starting to get resentful of being used. Now the pet owner is being mercilessly dragged around by the thing it had on the leash.

A perfect example is the situation in Portland, Oregon, where Mayor Ted Wheeler was besieged by hard-left protesters despite he himself being a hard-left politician. They came to his very home where they denounced him, chided him, and even began rioting.

According to the Daily Wire, the rioters didn’t appreciate Wheeler’s law enforcement stopping them from destroying and rioting in the name of “justice” and decided to make him suffer for it:

Demonstrators did the “Macarena” in the street outside Wheeler’s condominium, the Portland Mercury reported Tuesday, and trotted out a person dressed as a giant teddy bear, labeled “Tear Gas Teddy” — a reference to Portland police’s use of tear gas on protesters, something last night’s demonstrators clearly blame on the mayor.

The “party” was designed to mark Wheeler’s birthday, protesters said.

The situation quickly turned violent because that’s the nature of the beast:

“Protesters lit a fire in the street, as some danced to the ‘Macarena,’ according to Allison Mechanic, a reporter for KATU News who posted the video on Twitter. Others placed a picnic table from a nearby business above the fire to feed the blaze,” Fox News reported.

The Portland Police department cataloged the situation from there.

“A mass gathering devolved into a riot after individuals broke windows, burglarized a business, and lit a fire in an occupied apartment building,” the Portland Police Department said in a statement, according to the Daily Wire.  “Some in the crowd began lighting off what appeared to be illegal commercial-grade fireworks. A fire was lit in a garbage can in the street. Some windows were broken and walls were defaced with graffiti. In an attempt to deescalate, officers stayed out of sight and monitored the situation from a distance. However, the vandalism and burning continued. People were seen burglarizing a business, taking furniture out, and throwing it on the fires in the street.”

I don’t at all feel sorry for Wheeler or any politician that this happens to. These politicians are only too happy to allow the beast they create to cause havoc in any place so long as it doesn’t affect them. These Democrat politicians even encourage the destruction of innocent people’s lives and livelihoods and that it comes to their doorstep is only fair.

It’s the bed they made, so they can lay restlessly in it.

I hate to say this but I can’t help but think this is the only way Democrats will learn anything. Until they are directly affected by the policies and decisions they make, they will never see the harm and chaos they created.

I’m glad that the best is now feeding on the very masters who taught it to consume everything.
