Chip Roy Explodes on Republicans, Demands They Send Spending Bill for Schumer and Biden to 'Choke On'

No one is more frustrated with Republicans than Republican voters but perhaps Texas Republican Chip Roy could give some of the most disappointed a run for their money.

Roy gave a fiery speech on the House floor on Wednesday over the Republican Party’s inability to pass any substantive legislation that would put a stop to the madness being caused by the Democrat Party’s incompetence and negligence.

“Will Republicans honor their campaign commitment to secure the border, yes or no?” asked Roy.

“What I am seeing right now from my Republican colleagues does not give me faith that they will stand up in the breach as did those men who stood on the wall at the Alamo,” he continued.

“I am tired of words,” he added. “Things are going to change in this body.”

Roy warned his fellow Republicans that if some of them thought they could just pass meaningless legislation that does nothing to actually accomplish the goals the voters sent them to accomplish, and moreover, that Republicans like Roy were just going to go along to get along, they were sorely mistaken.

Roy also shared his disgust of watching his fellow Republicans trip themselves up in holding the Biden Administration accountable for the abuse of executive orders that forced the jab into people’s arms, and all for petty reasons.

The Texas congressman continued to give a dressing down to his colleagues on the right, noting that they’ve chosen to do absolutely nothing but pay lip service on all the most important issues of the day including the out-of-control spending our government is undertaking.

“We should pass a bill off this floor saying we will raise the debt ceiling but only if you end the disastrous student loans that are going to cost $400 billion and drive up the cost of higher-ed,” said Roy. “Only if you rescind the $91 billion of unobligated COVID money. Only if you go rescind the $80 billion designed to increase the IRS to go after taxpayers.”

Roy further spoke of demolishing the growing bureaucracy solely designed to go after the American people.

“Send that over to the Senate,” said Roy angrily. “Send that over to the Senate and make Chuck Schumer and the President of the United States choke on it.”

Roy continued to berate Republicans on their feet dragging and petty politics for a couple of minutes.

While some Republicans in Congress will scoff at Roy’s anger, to the American people his anger is righteous and warranted. Republican voters have been voicing their discontent with the current state of the party for some time, even to the point where revolts have begun happening in various ways. This includes the rebellion seen during the election of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to his current role.

If Republican lawmakers know what’s good for them, they’ll hear Roy and not dismiss him. Otherwise, the party might find itself once again lagging behind Democrats as voters turn their back on what has become a useless body in DC.
