There are few entities in Washington more disgusting than the leftist sweethearts that comprise "The Squad" but sitting at the head of this self-important group of Sour Rangers is New York congresswoman Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez. 

AOC is a highly volatile mix of ignorance, hypocrisy, idealism, and popularity, and she knows how to utilize all of it for the benefit of herself and her side of the Democrat Party. Her sole purpose is to elicit a chorus of "yas queens" from the gullible and give direction to the leftist radical NPCs in America when they need new orders to follow in any given event or situation. 

As my colleague Nick Arama reported, AOC appeared on CNN in order to put out the marching order for the left that they need to support a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. As Arama noted, AOC was a mess of contradictions during her interview which even had CNN's Abby Phillip cautiously pushing back against her: 

AOC said that Israel had a "right to self-defense" -- but then proceeded to completely cut that down, blathering about collective punishment and saying we have to think about "what our goal is." 

Phillip noted Israel's goal is to take out the terrorists. It's a simple concept. But AOC, in typical leftist response, doesn't seem to want Israel to deal with the terrorists. Phillip kept pressing AOC as to how Israel is supposed to take out the terrorists if they don't respond, other than to "go in there and take them on directly." Israel has tried reasoning and everything in the past. Hamas still wants to kill them all and wipe them off the planet. 

Yet what does AOC do? Accuse Israel of "indiscriminate attack."

Either one of two things can be gleaned about AOC thanks to this interview, and neither of them is good. 

The first option is that AOC seems to be confusing what Israel is doing to Hamas with what America has done in the Middle East in the past. She sees this as what the U.S. creatively called its war in Afghanistan; a "peace-keeping effort." 

Israel is not peace-keeping...it's destroying. It is currently embroiled in a war against an evil entity that has the openly stated goal of wiping Israel off the map and murdering everyone within it. This isn't tamping down some oppressive terrorist organization that's rooted itself inside a region of the Middle East, they are actively at war with a government entity that controls the next-door territory of Gaza. 

What Hamas did to Israel was beyond horrific. Killing, raping, kidnapping, torturing, burning, and destroying anything and everyone they came across whether they were Israeli or not, babies or elderly, armed or unarmed, etc., etc. The provocation for this attack was that Israel simply existed. AOC wants to talk about an "indiscriminate attack?" Hamas demonstrated one that will go down as the definition of the phrase for years to come. 

This isn't a cause for a slap on the wrist and driving a group of radicals into the hills. This is war, and as I noted in a previous article, the purpose of war isn't proportionality of response but the eradication of your enemy or inflicting such a crippling series of blows upon them that they never think to attack you again. In Hamas's case, this is a holy war, so eradication is the only option Israel really has.

The other option is that AOC knows exactly what she's doing and she's trying to get her followers to generate pressure on others and their leaders to begin pushing for Israel to once again back down with their own promises and threats in tow. This will only benefit Hamas, allowing them to continue to carry out terrorist attacks while Israel ties one or both hands behind its back. 

If AOC liking the idea of terrorist attacks against Israel seems hyperbolic then allow me to direct you to a few of her past statements. 

In 2019, she said that Palestinians should riot against Israel because Israel oppresses them. 

“I believe that injustice is a threat to the safety of all people, because once you have a group that is marginalized and marginalized and marginalized — once someone doesn't have access to clean water, they have no choice but to riot, right?" 

Hamas doesn't riot. When they become angry, they murder, and they're angry all the time. It's odd that AOC refers to these actions as mere "rioting." 

In that same year, AOC co-sponsored the open anti-Semite and fellow "Squad" member Ilhan Omar's resolution defending boycotts of Israel through the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel. They voted against a resolution condemning BDS the previous week. 

In 2021, the House overwhelmingly voted to fund the life-saving Israeli Iron Dome, the system responsible for destroying rockets from Hamas before they can touch down on innocent civilians in Israel. Not only did AOC originally vote "no" on the funding, she later changed her vote to "present" and then was seen crying over the fact that the funding was passed. 

Her reasoning? 

“It created a real sense of panic and horror among those in our community who otherwise engage thoughtfully in these discussions, and fueled the discussion to devolve to a point where it became clear that this vote would risk a severe devolution of the good faith community fabric that allows us to responsibly join in a struggle for human rights and dignity everywhere - from Palestine to The Bronx and Queens,” she said.

It's a system that stops rockets from hitting innocent Israeli civilians, but AOC seems to believe there needs to be a discussion about this. 

This is gross. 

AOC is ignorant about the ways of war and the reasons Israel has to wage it, or she supports the evil Hamas is doing, and her words are an attempt to tie Israel down with political pressure so that Hamas can continue its work. I'm not sure if there's any in between here. 

American voters, especially Jewish voters, need to recognize that AOC represents the new Democrat Party that has no love of Israel and seems very prejudiced against the Jewish community. Israel can't sneeze without AOC and her ilk squawking "apartheid" and accusing it of crimes against humanity. 

It's time for the voters to recognize her and her new wave of Democrat cohorts for what they are and turn their back on them accordingly.
