The incident resulted in the tragic deaths of three individuals, including two victims and the shooter, who appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Sheriff McMahill said,

The suspect was not killed by police. We believe he took his own life.

Hours after the incident, Sheriff McMahill reported that employees were still being evacuated from the building, saying,

As you can imagine we have a five or six-story building. We have people that are hunkered down following active shooter protocols. We’re going door by door and making sure everybody in there is OK and evacuating them.

The law office is located at 10801 W. Charleston Blvd. near Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. Witnesses of the shooting and other employees from the building were transported to Red Rock Casino Resort, where they received assistance and victim services.

Las Vegas 8NewsNow identifies the victims as Dennis Prince, an attorney, and his wife, Ashley Prince, who were reportedly new parents. The incident occurred during a deposition at the Prince Law Group's office on the fifth floor of a building near Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. Dennis Prince was representing Ashley Prince in a legal matter involving her ex-husband, whose father, Joe Houston, was also present at the deposition. Records indicate that Ashley Prince was previously married to Dylan Houston, who filed for divorce in 2021.

According to the sources, shortly after 10 a.m., Joe Houston allegedly shot the Princes before killing himself.

Robert Eglet, Prince’s former law partner, described him as a wonderful father to four children, calling his tragic death “not just a loss to his family, but also to the community.”

Prince’s friend and local political consultant, Tom Letizia, said,

We are deeply saddened by the devastating news of the passing of Dennis Prince, a distinguished attorney who was regarded as one of the finest in our state. Dennis was not only a close friend of mine but also a respected figure within our legal community, whose absence has left us all in mourning. The news of this tragedy has profoundly shocked me and our entire community.
