One of the signature traits of a sociopath is that he–or she–feels no shame or remorse for shameful acts.
I don’t know whether Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is a sociopath, but the mounting evidence makes you wonder. One thing’s for sure: Omar has no shame. If shame ever did reside in Omar, it has packed up its bags and left Omar for good, just like her last husband.
The latest: Omar just married her campaign’s consultant/fundraiser, Tim Mynett. This is the same Tim Mynett she denied having an affair with back in August, after Mynett’s then-wife accused Mynett of cheating on her with Omar, and filed for divorce.
“Blessed”? Not to point out the obvious, but Omar just married a guy she very well knows cheats on his wife–which Omar just became. But I’m sure things will be different this time. The last wife just didn’t understand him, don’t you know.
As for Mynett: good luck with THAT, bro. Again, not to point out the obvious, but Mynett wasn’t the only one cheating, technically or otherwise. Omar was still married when she and Mynett were jetting around behind Mynett’s now-ex-wife’s back. Whether or not Omar’s marriage was in effect over during the affair I have no idea; but it’s not a good look.
At the very least, Tim Mynett’s brand-new congressperson wifey is a serial liar who demonstrated a staggering lack of judgement and an unwillingness to delay gratification (two more signature traits of sociopaths, but I digress).
And then there’s the whole “Did Omar commit immigration fraud by marrying her brother?” thing. The authorities have been incurious about the evidence that she did so far; but reports suggest that their incuriousness is changing at long last. Mynett might wind up meeting his “life partner” in a conjugal-visit trailer at a federal prison, if even a fraction of what is alleged about Omar turns out to be true.
And both Mynett and Omar have kids. Imagine what those kids must be going through.
In spite of all this, these two don’t even have the decency to slink away and hide to save others pain. No, they post the culmination of their campaign of family destruction and deception on INSTAGRAM, so morons can coo and wish them happiness.
Right.
Because when a cheating man gets hitched to a marriage ping-pong ball of a woman, they cancel each other out, and everything turns up roses. As Power Line Blog–which has closely followed Omar’s exploits for years–writes: “Depending on how you count and whether you believe Omar’s 2016 account, it’s Omar’s second, third, fourth, or fifth marriage.”
Maybe Mynett is Omar’s fallback strategy. Re-election to Congress does not look hopeful.
I don’t know the Somali-Muslim community well; but my understanding is that the followers of the Prophet frown on this sort of behavior from anyone, and from a woman in particular. So Omar might need a hubby to pay the bills shortly, when she no longer has campaign money to misuse for personal projects and affairs.
