Process Crimes, The Democrat Way (Late Update)

UPDATE: WaPo’s prediction came true, as seen on live TV this morning. Two articles, neither of which bear any resemblance to the Founders’ vision of impeccable acts.

The Washington Post has a piece out demonstrating that the leftists are once again reverting to type. When they cannot prove a real crime, they focus on “process.”

From the WaPo lede

Democrats are expected to unveil two articles of impeachment against President Trump on Tuesday that will focus on abuse of power and obstructing Congress, and would be voted on by the full House next week, according to three officials familiar with the matter.

As they did in the two-year long, 40-plus million dollar Mueller Investigation, the Democrats, having no facts to support a substantive case of wrongdoing, are once again trying to score points on a “process crime,” specifically, “obstruction of Congress.” What they are really doing, is trying to criminalize the long standing, judicially recognized concept known as “Executive Privilege.” They are doing this simply because they cannot stomach the fact that a reality show host and real estate magnate…a political neophyte, well and truly flogged the fat fundament of their chosen successor to “The Won,” Barack Hussein Obama.

As I have mentioned in a number of forums too numerous to list, back when I was a cop, we had a name for obtaining nothing but “obstruction” indictments or convictions…”shoddy police work.” Please feel free to substitute whatever adjective comes to mind.

The bottom line here, is that the leftists in their irrational, frothing-at-the-mouth, anger at President Trump, have nothing—absolutely nothing substantive. all. They have is a process crime and some undefined “High Crime and Misdemeanor,” called “abuse of power.”

At this point, it looks like a sop to their base. “Yeah Man! We’re really gonna get that SOB!! Good luck with that. See you in November.
