Not since Adam Schiff and Donald J. Trump Jr. were spotted waiting for the same flight at a D.C. airport have we witnessed a more awkward moment in travel.

In the photo below, 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Bernie Sanders, is seated directly in front of rival Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Both senators were headed down to Miami to prepare for next week’s first Democratic debates on a packed flight. Sen. Amy Klobuchar was on the flight as well.

Did an airport ticket agent think it would be funny to seat the candidates in such close proximity or was this just one of life’s cruel coincidences? I’d go with the former.

The fellow next to Sanders doesn’t look too happy knowing that his photograph is about to go viral.

I wonder if Bernie put his seat back during the flight?

At any rate, once the plane touched down in Miami, Crazy Bernie hightailed it off the plane as fast as he could.
