Joe Scarborough was talking about how the media, in their zeal to “get” Trump they’d go with stories that were false and shared thousands of times before being corrected.
Mark Halperin says the media has a duty to be tough but fair and that they shouldn’t be making their coverage of the President, personal. And that is exactly what they are doing.
He only read off half of the list. The full list is over at The Federalist.
The problem is, like Joe says, this kind of sloppy reporting helps Trump because it allows him to single out these stories and use it to push back against any negative story written about him.
Reporters should do their jobs and investigate allegations. For crying out loud, confirm stories. Don’t just run with them because the allegations confirm your bias.
