The White House Is Weaponizing the Department of Education Against Your Children

The Biden administration is about to go even further in supporting the effort to sexualize children. So far, much of the battle over sexually inappropriate material being presented in K-12 classrooms and school libraries has been fought at the local and state level. But President Joe Biden is now wielding the power of the federal government to force school districts to show pornographic content to children.

The Biden administration is reportedly using the Department of Education Office of Civil Rights as a means to counter parents’ efforts in removing pornographic content from their children’s schools.

The administration plans to inform districts that reviewing and removing books flagged by parents for explicit content could “create a racially and sexually hostile environment,” thereby violating federal law:

The Department of Education Office of Civil Rights will begin informing districts on how reviewing and removing books from schools challenged by parents can create a racially and sexually hostile environment in violation of federal law, according to a June announcement from the White House.

Fox News Digital spoke with a senior official at the DOE, who said, “We do ask that districts satisfy federal law, and that’s a condition of receiving federal funds.”

The move signals that the DOE can investigate a district for simply reviewing parents’ concerns about sexually explicit content in schools, Max Eden, a research fellow focusing on K-12 education at the American Enterprise Institute, said.

Education experts argue that this move allows the DOE to investigate districts for simply considering parents’ concerns about sexually explicit materials in schools, potentially leading to the withholding of federal funding. The administration would leverage federal agencies to promote their cultural agenda and limit parents’ rights to have a say in their children’s education.

Additionally, the Department of Defense schools for military children has faced controversy for maintaining racially divisive and sexualizing materials under Biden’s leadership.

This development raises several important questions. For starters, how does the White House justify using the Education Department to strong-arm school districts into including sexually explicit material in their classrooms and libraries? This is not an issue of discrimination or any violation of rights. It is related only to what children are being given while they are in school. It is a clear infringement on local communities’ rights to determine how their children are educated.

Furthermore, by weaponizing federal agencies to enforce a cultural agenda, doesn’t the Biden administration undermine the principle of parental rights in education? Why is the federal government intervening in matters that should be left to the discretion of individual school districts and parents?

Many parents are rightly concerned about the impact of sexually explicit material on their children’s well-being and development. By trying to make sure school districts show this material to kids, the administration is sending a message that it prioritizes pushing a specific ideological agenda over the well-being and values of American families. The White House is also showing that it has no concern for the health of children.

The notion that young children should be exposed to pornographic material in schools is morally indefensible. Parents have every right to expect a safe and appropriate learning environment for their children, free from explicit content that can be harmful to their development. The government’s attempt to impose such material on students reflects a misguided and out-of-touch approach to education.

Furthermore, the federal government’s interference in local education decisions goes against the very principles of local control. School boards are elected by communities precisely because parents want to have a say in shaping the education their children receive. By circumventing this democratic process, the Biden administration undermines the authority of local officials and disregards the wishes of parents who are best suited to understand their children’s needs and values.

It is essential to recognize that the classroom should be a politically neutral space, devoid of any ideological agenda. Whether right- or left-leaning, using the school system to promote a political agenda is inappropriate and harmful to students’ critical thinking abilities. Education should focus on fostering well-rounded, informed citizens capable of forming their own opinions, rather than pushing a specific ideological narrative.

Moreover, the administration’s actions reveal a worrying trend of progressive efforts to impose their agenda on the nation’s youth. The government has no right to force parents into accepting a curriculum that contradicts their values and beliefs. Parents should be able to trust that their children are receiving an education that aligns with their family’s principles, without the fear of the state indoctrinating their children into a radical ideology.

To sum it up, the Biden administration’s decision to use the Department of Education to target school districts removing sexually explicit material from their classrooms is unjustifiable and dangerous. It violates the fundamental principles of parental rights and local control over education, while also threatening to undermine the neutrality of the classroom as a space for learning, not ideological indoctrination. It is crucial for concerned citizens and parents to stand up against this encroachment on local autonomy and demand that education remains a domain of open dialogue and respect for diverse perspectives.
