With a Straight (Botoxed) Face, Nancy Pelosi Claims Kevin McCarthy's 'Playing Politics' Regarding Impeachment

The former Speaker of the House and current San Francisco Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) joined Dana Bash on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday. In response to Bash’s inquiry about Speaker Kevin McCarthy possibly opening an inquiry to expunge President Donald Trump’s two impeachments, Pelosi accused McCarthy of “playing politics.”

Isn’t that rich?

WATCH:

The President was impeached because we had no choice. He had undermined our national security, jeopardized our well-being of our country. I was very careful about bringing any impeachment forward. But when the president made that phone call in terms of Ukraine, there was no choice. We had no choice. He must be impeached.

Kevin is, you know, playing politics. It’s not even clear that he constitutionally can expunge these things. If he wants to put his members on the spot, his members in difficult races on the spot, that’s a decision he has to make.

Pelosi almost sounds scared – and definitely sounds threatening. This is like the pot calling the kettle black. For the 36-plus years that Pelosi has been in Congress, and within her two terms as Speaker of the House during that time, Pelosi has made playing politics an art form. Beside the Trump impeachments, how else do you ram through garbage legislation like Obamacare and the Inflation Reduction Act? But the hallmark of this is Pelosi’s handling of the January 6 kerfuffle and the J-6 Committee. There are still questions as to  why Pelosi, along with D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, refused Trump’s recommendation that they bring in the National Guard for that day. The Capitol was trashed, Ashli Babbitt was murdered, and Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died from health issues unrelated to the altercations that ensued. This did not stop Pelosi from using Sicknick as the poster boy for her narrative. Sicknick’s cremated remains were placed in a coffin and enshrined in the Capitol Rotunda as part of the sideshow.

Pelosi promised that lawmakers would remember the sacrifices of Sicknick and the other officers who fought to protect the Congress.

“Our promise to Brian’s family is that we will never forget his sacrifice, we must be vigilant,” Pelosi said. “We will never forget.”

The Democrat and media narrative had been dramatically and forcefully rammed home. The insurrectionists, in their lust to defeat the will of the people by violently overturning the election, had murdered this exemplary police officer.

Additional video footage from January 6 has been released, and it shows that the Capitol Police, instead of being under attack, corralled peaceful protestors within the Capitol. So, Pelosi’s words about the brave sacrifice of the Capitol Police continue to be exposed for what they are: political theater.

The carefully engineered and partisan J-6 Committee was to be Speaker Pelosi’s Grand Exit and calling card for what she did to Save Democracy. Any inquiry into the impeachments will work to erode this well-crafted scheme quicker than her last Botox session.

Even more sickening, Pelosi politicized the attack on her husband, Paul Pelosi, by a crazed individual by claiming that the Republican response to the attack on her husband was why the predicted Midterm Red Wave did not happen. Any other wife would be deeply concerned with the state of her husband and not use it to score political points. But this is Cruella de Pelosi at her finest.

On the GOP side, she suggested to CNN’s State of the Union that Republicans’ ‘horrible response’ to her husband Paul’s assault could be partially to blame for turning voters off from their candidates.

Then Pelosi had the nerve to blame McCarthy and Trump for that which she is most complicit.

But, this is not responsible. This is not about the flag still being there. This is about being afraid. As I’ve said before, Donald Trump is a puppeteer. And what does he do all the time but shine the light on the strings. These people look pathetic.

No, what is pathetic is Nancy Pelosi’s performative attempt to protect her legacy.
