It wasn’t all that long ago that progressives in Southern California were all up in arms about needing to help the homeless population, engaging in endless hand-wringing and “something must be done!” speeches at various government meetings.
Then the political winds shifted, and #FamiliesBelongTogether became the new rallying cry. So, as thousands descended on Los Angeles City Hall Saturday, they walked right past homeless people asleep or possibly passed out on the sidewalk without missing a beat.
