In these days of quarantine, “Stay-At-Home” orders, and cabin fever being experienced by office workers suddenly forced to work remotely, people are online, looking for ways to connect with others.

Celebrities and musicians have posted videos on Twitter or YouTube in an attempt to connect and bring people together. People are hosting virtual happy hours or virtual game nights.

American treasure and legendary singer/songwriter Neil Diamond joined in late Saturday night with the perfect homey and comforting scenario: A fireplace, an adorable dog, and Neil Diamond strumming his guitar and leading a sing-a-long of the classic “Sweet Caroline.”

If you’re wondering if he really sang, “Hands, touching hands… reaching out, touching me, touching you” in this Social Distancing era, no, he didn’t. He adapted, singing:

Hands, washing hands, reaching out, don’t touch me, I won’t touch you!

Sing along with your families, and also take a moment to appreciate how amazing this 79-year-old’s voice is.
