It seems like there’s certainly been an uptick in stories about China’s hostile actions against the U.S. – and, in particular, the U.S. military – over the course of 2023 so far.

We’ve had spy balloons, Chinese “police stations” and biolabs on U.S. soil, and, just recently, a pair of sailors who were caught selling some major secrets to the Chinese military. None of this really bodes well for our relationship with China, a hostile foreign power that the Biden administration has been simultaneously pretending to be tough on while also kowtowing to them.

Joe Biden, as pointed out above, promised that the U.S. would not be starting a”new Cold War” with China.

“I absolutely believe there need not be a new Cold War. I have met many times with Xi Jinping and we were candid and clear with one another across the board. I do not think there is any imminent attempt on the part of China to invade Taiwan,” he said.

“I made it clear we want to see cross-strait issues to be peacefully resolved and so it never has to come to that. And I’m convinced that he understood what I was saying, I understood what he was saying.”

It’s quite possible that Biden will be the last person on earth to find out that there is already a Cold War that the Chinese have started. The actions listed above are pretty clear signs we’re headed down that path, if not on it already, and Biden is either lying or extremely naive if he thinks that a war with China – hot or cold – isn’t brewing.

Every single item listed above is a direct action against the U.S. and its sovereignty, and there has been little-to-no pushback from the Biden administration on any of it. Since the spy balloon incident, there have been administration officials taking trips to China, and each one has ended in embarrassment for us and propaganda for the Chinese Communist Party.

There’s also a story from last week about dormant Chinese malware found in our military systems, specifically designed to disrupt American military deployment and planning should China invade Taiwan – an invasion that American military officials and experts increasingly believe will be happening sooner rather than later.

The discovery of the malware has raised fears that Chinese hackers, probably working for the People’s Liberation Army, have inserted code designed to disrupt U.S. military operations in the event of a conflict, including if Beijing moves against Taiwan in coming years.

The malware, one congressional official said, was essentially “a ticking time bomb” that could give China the power to interrupt or slow American military deployments or resupply operations by cutting off power, water and communications to U.S. military bases. But its impact could be far broader, because that same infrastructure often supplies the houses and businesses of ordinary Americans, according to U.S. officials.

The first public hints of the malware campaign began to emerge in late May, when Microsoft said it had detected mysterious computer code in telecommunications systems in Guam, the Pacific island with a vast American air base, and elsewhere in the United States. But that turned out to be only the narrow slice of the problem that Microsoft could see through its networks.

What’s more, at least some of the information being sold to the Chinese by a pair of U.S. Navy sailors included American plans in the Pacific and a radar array in Japan.

Meanwhile, back in August 2022, Biden’s State Department hired a known Chinese apologist from a Washington D.C. think tank, and just this week, we found out Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm colluded with the CCP just days prior to Biden emptying our Strategic Petroleum Reserve (something he has yet to refill).

The best-case scenario is that the Biden team is unaware that we’re in a Cold War with China. The worst-case scenario is so scandalous that it borders on conspiracy theory – is Joe Biden’s administration actively helping the Chinese? I tend to assume that most of what Joe Biden and his government do is due to incompetence more than treason, but if you were trying to sabotage the U.S. in favor of a hostile foreign power, what would you do differently?

It’s clear the Chinese want to remove U.S. influence from its political sphere, and it’s likely that they have ambitions beyond their sphere of influence. But the U.S. and China are the two major world powers right now, and a conflict between them seems inevitable. It would be nice to have people in charge who are aware of this and are actively working to make sure the U.S. isn’t vulnerable in the event of armed conflict.

This administration simply ain’t it.
