On Wednesday, the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, announced their new president.

In January, then-president Cecile Richards announced she would be stepping down after having spent twelve years spearheading an organization that violently ended more than 321,000+ unborn lives in the past year. And her replacement? Well, the choice is ironic, to say the very least.

Stepping into the role is none other than former emergency room physician, Dr. Leana Wen. Most recently, Wen was the health commissioner in Baltimore, Maryland.

Quite the juxtaposition.

On one hand, as a former provider in ER settings, Dr. Wen has a passion for saving those in desperate need of help at their most vulnerable moments. On the other hand, she is happy to take over for an organization that preys upon the most vulnerable when they desperately need advocates to care for them and be a voice for their future. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Planned Parenthood, though. They deceive women, lie about their opponents, and consider themselves necessary for females in the United States.

If you need a refresher, here are some facts from Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report.

  • They received $543.7 million in government health services reimbursements and grants.
  • Prenatal services – 7,762
  • Adoption referrals – 3,889
  • Abortions – 321,384

This is the same organization that routinely lies about what they offer. They try to convince onlookers that abortion only makes up 3% of their services. But that claim has been debunked.

In addition, Planned Parenthood is outnumbered 20 to 1 by comprehensive women’s health clinics that don’t perform abortions. Is PP even a necessity for American females? No.

Dr. Wen, whose family came to the United States as immigrants from China, is deeply concerned with caring for others, except the inconvenient unborn.

“I have seen firsthand the lifesaving work it does for our most vulnerable communities. As a doctor, I will ensure we continue to provide high-quality health care, including the full range of reproductive care, and will fight to protect the access of millions of patients who rely on Planned Parenthood.”

“I’ve learned that I like a fight,” she said. As a doctor, trying to save lives, and as health commissioner, trying to advance legislation, change public perceptions and start new programs.

While Planned Parenthood and its supporters praise the selection of an educated, medical professional and woman of color as their new president, the disconnect between reality and pro-abort, feminist fantasy is wider than ever.

The appointment of Dr. Wen is a perfect representation of the decades-long hypocrisy within the Planned Parenthood organization. Take the innocent lives of those who have no voice and label it a woman’s “right.”

That’s pure evil.
