Actor Rob Lowe is used to tense situations. He recently had a Twitter scuff over Trump’s immigration orders with former “West Wing” castmate Bradley Whitfield. Months earlier he’d been in some hot water among his peers after saying he favored a Trump candidacy. Most notably, as a young 8o’s movie star his career was almost destroyed when compromising video of him and two young women (one was later revealed to be a minor) became public.

Had Lowe endured that same scandal as a young star in today’s society he would have gained a million Instagram follower and been offered a lucrative reality tv show.

Thankfully the “St. Elmo’s Fire” star didn’t have to repeat his mistakes to see the latter happen. It turns out his latest project will indeed be a reality show on A&E this summer. “The Lowe Files” will feature Rob Lowe alongside his two sons Matthew (23) and John (25). The three will investigate supernatural phenomenon and the unexplained.

Since I was a kid I’ve loved unexplained legends, strange phenomena and the scary, supernatural stories told around campfires. When I became a father I shared those tales with my two sons.

And we swore that someday the three of us would go on our own adventure to find out. That day has come.

I’ve been a big fan of Rob Lowe forever, especially since his days starring in Chris Farley movies. His stint on “Parks and Recreation” was a delightful turn in his varied career. I’m also a huge fan of stories of the supernatural and the unexplained (the ‘Unexplained Mysteries’ theme still haunts me to this day). This seems like the perfect summer viewing for a gal like myself. I wish the Lowe men the best and hope they even explain a mystery or two along the way.
