Steve Hilton, host of Fox News’ “The Next Revolution,” picked apart California Governor Gavin Newsom’s ambitions for a 2024 White House bid.

On Sunday, Hilton, a California resident, discussed the possibility of Newsom running for President. Hilton spoke about Newsom’s record as Governor while warning Americans about Newsom’s policies and how his incompetence is destroying the Golden State.

Hilton said:

“Everyone knows Biden can’t possibly run in 2024 … but according to all the reports from Washington insiders, Democrats absolutely don’t want the obvious choice, Vice President Kamala Harris to be their candidate instead. So amazingly, almost overnight … California Gov. Gavin Newsom has become the favorite to be the next Democratic presidential nominee.”

Interestingly, Hilton noted that when he first came to California, he had dinner with then-Attorney General Kamala Harris. She was tough-on-crime, prosecuted criminals, and kept California safe, unlike the current California AG Rob Bonta. If Harris did not listen to the far-left, she could, in theory, lead the Country much better than Newsom and Biden. But because she kowtowed to the far-left, and laughed at any issue that was brought up, the chances of her becoming the nominee are extremely slim.

Hilton continued to pick apart Newsom:

“But what could we expect from him? … He closed California public schools earlier and before anyone else … just under half the kids in California meet the state’s standards for English. With math, a third of the kids are proficient in math … and that is great because as California Democrats have established, math is ‘racist.’ Now, We say that all this woke madness actually hurts Black kids the most. But that’s just the narrative. Gavin has the facts. There is definitely one area where California is leading the nation: illiteracy. California has the lowest literacy rate of any state … isn’t that the kind of transformative leadership America needs?”

As California students were doing online learning through Zoom, Newsom’s children were getting in-person instruction at a private school. If the public schools are so great in California, as Newsom received an “education award,” why are his children attending a private school?

Hilton concluded:

“Look, I love California. I am not leaving, I’m staying to fight for change. But take it from someone who lives here. These policies, these far-left extremist policies pushed by Gavin Newsom and the California Democrats, that is the last thing America needs.”

I agree with Hilton. We must stay in California and fight for our State. We are too great of a State to give up on. Times are tough now, but as long as concerned parents, concerned citizens, and people who want change, vote, change will come in California as early as November 2022.

California is the fifth largest economy, but due to Newsom’s incompetence, people have been voting with their feet, as California saw a decline in population for the first time in over 100 years.

As I previously wrote, take it from a Californian, a Gavin Newsom presidency would be a nightmare for the United States of America.
