The Push to Remove Biden Continues

There has been a growing sentiment within political circles that President Joe Biden may not be the Democrat nominee for the 2024 general election.

Some speculation has suggested that former First Lady Michelle Obama could emerge as the nominee during the Democrat National Convention in August. While some have suggested that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) may do so; however, he is now potentially facing a second recall and could very well see his presidential ambitions impacted, even extending to 2028.

Democrats still love former President Barack Obama and Michelle is extremely popular among the party as well. In December 2023, Obama warned Biden and the Democrats that they could lose the White House in 2024 to former President Donald Trump.

In January 2024, Michelle said she was "terrified" about Trump potentially winning the presidential race.

Our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit – it affects us in ways that sometimes I think people take for granted. I am terrified about what could possibly happen. The fact that people think that government — ‘eh, does it really even do anything?’ — and I’m like ‘Oh my God, does government do everything for us, and we cannot take this democracy for granted,’ and I worry sometimes that we do. Those are the things that keep me up.

As Biden is losing support among young voters, as well as Black and Hispanic voters, it doesn't come as a surprise that Democrat insiders have been expressing their doubts about Biden winning his re-election bid.

But now, 47 percent of Democrat voters polled in the Rasmussen Report said they are for "finding another candidate to replace Biden before the election in November." Currently, only 33 percent of Democrats believe there will actually be a change prior to the November election.

Per the survey, Michelle Obama garners 20 percent of the support, while Vice President Kamala Harris is at 15 percent, Hillary Clinton 12 percent, Newsom at 11 percent, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) at nine percent, and six percent say they are not sure.

Former Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of Treasury, Monica Crowley, predicted two years ago that the Democrats could run Michelle as their nominee. Here was her response at CPAC explaining why she thinks it could happen:

CEO of Blaze Media, Glenn Beck, made a one thousand dollar bet that Michelle Obama will replace Biden as the 2024 Democrat nominee. He had an interesting response and a lot of ifs when asked about his bet.

I think there's several things that have to happen. One, Joe Biden has to continue to go downhill to where he's talking to a bowl of soup. His poll numbers have to be out of wack with Donald Trump... If they [Democrats] are convinced that he's going to lose this election, then you have a couple of options. Ride it out and just roll the dice, I think that happens if it is a two point spread. But if they're five points behund, they don't ride it out... Put Trump in jail, that's the next choice... Not a chance you run Kamala Harris... If you want to win, you need somebody that can step up, and it's not Gavin Newsom, who is it? The only one that you could put money down and go 'yup, a winner,' Michelle Obama.

Here is Beck's full response:

If the recent polls are any indicators, Trump and the GOP would likely rather face Biden, Harris, Newsom, or Whitmer.

We know that the Democrats will do everything in their power to make sure Trump does not win in 2024, and if that means kicking Biden to the curb, I have no doubt they will. As more voters get behind the idea of ousting Biden, the Democrat convention could be one of the most unanticipated yet.
