"Open Season" on Cops? Six Police Officers Killed In Six Days

Georgia has a problem. Over the past six days, six of their police officers have been killed in the line of duty. Six in Six Days. Can we call it a “War on Cops” now?

Watch NBC’s report:

The families certainly think so. The lawyer hired by the families of the fallen officers calls it “Open Season” on law enforcement. He is suing the city for not protecting their employees. While the media plays down their role in the increased coverage of police shootings, there is no denying the impact. This lawsuit opens the door for future problems, as part of law enforcement’s job description is to be in harm’s way.

However it would be naive to ignore the mass media coverage of the Black Lives Matter lie of “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” which has caused countless deaths. Holding the media accountable would be a wonderful start, but they choose to ignore the facts in the cases, to continue their “story line”.

Certainly something needs to be done about the targeting of police officers, but suing the communities doesn’t seem like the right answer to me.
