When Even Sara Silverman Thinks Your Party Is Riddled With 'Righteousness Porn' and Stands for 'F**king Nothing'?

If I had told you in 2011 that in ten years, Hollywood Looney Tunes comedian Sarah Silverman would be to the right of Joe Biden, other than laugh hysterically and tell me I’m crazy, what would you have said? Welp, laugh hysterically and call me crazy because, in 2021, that’s exactly where the Democrat Party finds itself; it’s just too arrogant to realize it.

In a video shared by The Post Millennial on Friday, Silverman said she’s “not sure” she wants to be a Democrat, anymore  — as she proceeded to take out a blowtorch and burn the “f**king elitist” party to the ground. For those unfamiliar with the “earthy” comedian, to call her “not safe for work” would be the understatement of understatements.

Silverman believes the self-labeled “progressive” party has reduced itself to little more than an “absolutist nest” of righteousness porn.”

“It’s the absolutist nest of the party that I am in that is such a turnoff to me. It’s so f**king elitist, you know, for something called progressive, it allows for zero progress. It’s all or nothing, no steps toward— all or f**king nothing. Again, righteousness porn.”

She wants out, Democrats.

“And I’ve been thinking about this a lot, just in general. I just, I don’t know that I want to be associated with any party. I really, I think I don’t want to be associated with any party anymore.”

Translation: Of course she’s sure.

She’s also sure she’s had it with partisanship in both parties.  But she suggested today’s Republican Party doesn’t hold a candle to the party of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, the Barbie triplets (Socialist Barbie [AOC], Jihadi Barbie [Ilhan Omar], and Trump Derangement Syndrome Barbie [Rashida Tlaib]), and of course Joe Biden.

“It just, it comes with too much baggage. Every party, it comes with so much f**king baggage that no ideas can be taken at face value. And, without ideas, what are we? Without a common truth, how can we talk about it?

“You know, Republicans might hear an idea that they would totally agree with, but, if it comes from AOC, then they hate it. And of course, you know, to be honest, when I hear an idea that comes from a Republican, it’s suspect to me.”

As I suggested at the top, Sarah Silverman, of all people, taking anyone to task over partisanship? Ladies and gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure, Sarah Silverman 2.0:

Incidentally, this wasn’t the first time Silverman put the Democrat Party on full-blast over “righteousness porn” — including the insanity of out-of-control “cancel culture. In an October 2020 podcast, she shredded ‘cancel culture.’

“In this cancel culture — and we all know what I’m talking about — whether you think there is one or there isn’t one or where you stand on it — and there’s a lot of grey matter there — but without a path to redemption, when you take someone, you found a tweet they wrote seven years ago or a thing that they said, and you expose it and you say, ‘This person should be no more, banish them forever.’ They’re going to find someplace where they are accepted.”

Exactly. Remember the Reagan Democrats, Nancy and Chucky?

Sarah Silverman being Sarah Silverman, also took a shot at the GOP.

“If we don’t give these people a path to redemption, then they’re going to go where they are accepted, which is the motherf**king dark side. I think there should be some kind of path.”

RedState has covered the “evolution” (I don’t trust her as far as I could throw her, but still) of Silverman along the way.

Rational political thoughts. Blasting the ‘cancel culture.’ Calling our her fellow left-wing comrades. Sarah Silverman. Let that sink in, my Democrat friends. But by all means, please continue doing exactly what you’re doing. Your in-kind contributions to the Republican Party are greatly appreciated. And thank you, in advance.

Finally, I can already see some of the comments to come. Burning Sarah Silverman to the ground. Have at it; there have been countless times I’ve wanted to hold the blowtorch myself. But this article is less about Sarah Silverman and far more about the state of today’s Democrat Party. Let’s hope they don’t heed a damn word she said.

Moreover, considering the beatdown the GOP delivered to Nancy Pelosi’s House Democrat Caucus in November, at the very minimum, a blind squirrel has found an acorn.
