Pelosi Being Pelosi: Calls Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy a 'Moron' for Opposing Her Latest Edict

Nancy Pelosi. Where to begin in describing the 81-year-old House Speaker.

If we’re talking “declining cognitive state” — which has been evident for at least a couple of years — we could say snarky things like “BOTOX-riddled brain,” “vodka-drenched,” etc. But that would be poor form.

On the other hand, we have the Speaker’s Stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome, drunkenness with power, and vindictiveness — aimed not only at Republicans but also against members of her own party who dare to oppose her. In either case, when San Fran Nan gets on her nastiness, it’s game on.

Such was the case on Wednesday after the announcement that the House of Representatives will reinstate universal mask requirements for all members, even though most lawmakers are vaccinated. A mandate, needless to say, that is vociferously opposed by House Republican leadership.

Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) correctly blasted the latest mandate as “anti-science,” tweeting on Tuesday evening, as reported by The Hill:

“Make no mistake — The threat of bringing masks back is not a decision based on science, but a decision conjured up by liberal government officials who want to continue to live in a perpetual pandemic state.”

McCarthy also tweeted:

“Vaccines work and vaccinated Americans should not have to wear masks. By forcing vaccinated Americans to return to masks, the Biden administration is not only casting doubt on a safe and effective vaccine but contradicting why vaccines exist.”

One hundred percent correct.

Pelosi’s reaction? She called McCarthy a “moron”, of course.

Condescension, enough, Madam Speaker?

Pelosi being Pelosi, she then jumped into a waiting car and was spirited away to a “climate event” outside the Capitol, as noted by The Hill. No word on whether she’s also attending the same “Unity and Time for Healing” workshop that Mumbles™ Joe Biden obviously attends [ahem].

Shocked? Me, neither. Pelosi being Pelosi. It’s who she is. It’s what a person with a “deep Catholic faith” does. Along with once trotting out her “deep Catholic faith” to “justify” referring to late-term abortion (the murder of the unborn), as “sacred ground.”

Reports like this — and the overall antics of Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats, in general — often bring two quotes to mind. My mind, at least. The late Charles Krauthammer, in a 2002 column, wrote:

“Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.”

And Ronald Reagan famously said:

“The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

Both of the above observations have been obvious to me since I first began following politics. You?

But today’s Democrat Party, ruled with a bony, iron fist by Nancy Pelosi — with Chuck Schumer serving as the Democrat Party stooge and addled Joe Biden eagerly taking on the role of organ grinder monkey of the radical Left — has taken bitterness, arrogance, and condescension to a whole new level.

And, as the Gipper said, ignorance, as well. Willful ignorance, that is.
