My oh my, how quickly things quickly change on the left.

Or would that be how stubbornly they remain the same? Either way, as reported by my colleague Jennifer Oliver O’Connell on Monday, the CDC has announced it is shortening the recommended quarantine period for those who have tested positive for COVID-19 from 10 days to five. Yup, just like that.

Given what we currently know about COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, CDC is shortening the recommended time for isolation from 10 days for people with COVID-19 to 5 days, if asymptomatic, followed by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others.

As RedState’s Nick Arama suggested earlier today, the decision did not sit well with the left at all.

Then, out trots Anthony Fauci on CNN — I know, right? — to agree with the CDC decision, and promptly make it worse for the left-wing loons, bless their bitter little hearts.

Angry leftists then proceeded to break the internet as they threw their previous idol as far under the bus as they could throw him, with one lunatic calling for the “infectious and emerging diseases expert” — the hood ornament of the Democrat COVID car — to be “[i]ndicted for the mass murder of the working class.”

I haven’t seen rage like this since “Hang Mike Pence” trended on Twitter after Pence refused to take an unconstitutional action, but I digress. “Vehement disagreements” to follow in the comments section.

The left’s anger over reducing recommended isolation time was exacerbated by the change coming after Delta CEO Ed Bastian called on the CDC to make the change.

FYI: The CDC only made this change after being asked to do so by the multimillionaire CEO of Delta Airlines.

CEO Ed Bastian’s annual bonus is tied to on-time performance, which has taken a huge hit because all of his staff are testing positive.

I suspect Delta Airlines have way more influence than they should because they are based in Atlanta (CDC hq)… Delta shouldn’t be able to lobby the CDC like this!!

On and on it goes, but here’s the bottom line:

The left “embraces the science” only when the science embraces the left’s narrative. When it does not, science is to be ignored, manipulated, dismissed out of hand, or bald-faced lied about it.

My course, “Understanding Liberals 101,” explains it, perfectly. Application of facts, data, history, logic, or common sense to anything associated with the Left can only lead to confusion on the part of anyone foolish enough to try it.

Anyway, it will be interesting to observe the left’s treatment of the Little COVID King after he crawls out from under the bus.
