Remember the utter fury with which the media and Democrats fell upon Mitt Romney for saying he had “binders” on possible female job applicants as Governor of Massachusetts?
From Washington Examiner:
Recalling his business career in private equity and hiring for staff positions in Massachusetts state government, Romney recalled. “All of the applicants seem to be men. And I said, ‘Well, gosh, can’t we find some women who are also qualified?'” before adding that he “went to a number of women’s groups, and I said, ‘Can you help us find folks?’ And they brought us binders full of women.”
Those remarks were quickly mocked on social media, and some analysts said the remarks contributed to losing the female vote to President Barack Obama that November, along with the White House.
OMG! Binders of women! That fiend! How dare he! One of the most ridiculous, media-jacked up “stories” ever.
So now, media, applying the same standard, should be upset with what Joe Biden has said about his VP picks, right?
According to the New York Times, Biden is looking at these potential candidates through the lens of a “calendar model” pick.
In private encounters before this campaign, Mr. Biden has likened running-mate evaluation to deciding among calendar models, with three broad categories (and outdated honorifics): Contenders can be a “Mr. August” (a shot of momentum in the summer), a “Mr. October” (a reliable and effective campaigner for the fall) or a “Mr. January” (a governing partner, politics notwithstanding).
Imagine if President Donald Trump had said this. We can already see from Romney what they would have done with any Republican who would have said this and what he said wasn’t even close to this. “Calendar models?” On top of that the sexist “Mr.” as the descriptor?
Is this really how Biden sees the job? Will they have to walk the catwalk? Do they have to pass his “sniff test?”
Let’s hear from Neil Sedaka.

Really, this is how you see it? Especially given accusations of sexual assault and inappropriate touching hanging out there?
Apparently, someone forgot to run this by the Biden campaign, or perhaps worse, they did. Prepare for the text to get stealth edited.
I’m also wondering which women he is considering fall under which months by these categories. But it’s interesting, there’s something missing here that most other vice presidential considerations have had in the past, that’s “who can bring me more of the country that I don’t already have firmly in my camp.” It’s not clear which, if any, of those categories covers that essential bit. Being a good campaigner doesn’t necessarily say that.
So, for example, he doesn’t need to pick someone from California which will already be for him. What he needs is Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Which female candidate helps bring him those states? Who will help him capture more of the undecided middle?
Stacey Abrams, for example, couldn’t even bring her own state. Kamala Harris never really got traction and is hated by a good portion of those on the left as “Kamala the Cop.” To me, there’s an obvious choice.
But hey, why help him? He clearly has real issues with how he sees the job.
Seriously Joe Biden?

I'm sure the same media/Dems who attacked Romney for his 'binders full of women' remark in 2012 will now be as equally outraged by @JoeBiden describing his search for a a female running mate as a decision of 'calendar models.' https://t.co/ajnK0zhByM pic.twitter.com/6k7qcbFCB0
