One of the big weaknesses that the Democrats and Joe Biden have is the way in which they have dealt with the civil unrest perpetrated by radical leftist BLM and Antifa people.

For months, as cities burnt, they appeared to paint the riots as “peaceful protests” as well as embracing the BLM who have been connected to over 91% of the riots according to one study.

At a time when Americans are saying in polls that that’s an incredibly important issue for them, that’s bad for Democrats.

One of the things that President Donald Trump was trying to do throughout the debate was to show that Biden was basically a stalking horse for the radical left.

Last night during the debate, Joe Biden may have just made that worse, refusing to condemn Antifa and even appearing to deny its existence.

During the debate, Biden claimed that Antifa was an “idea, not an organization,” claiming that that’s what the FBI director said.

But that’s leaving out a very important part of what Christopher Wray said. Here’s what he said:

“Antifa is a real thing. It’s not a group or an organization. It’s a movement, or an ideology may be one way of thinking of it and we have quite a number, and I’ve said this quite consistently since my first time appearing before this committee, we have any number of properly predicated investigations into what we would describe as violent anarchist extremists and some of those individuals self-identify with Antifa,” Wray said.

Notice the “Antifa is a real thing” part that Biden left out. Attorney General Bill Barr made it even clearer saying that yes, “Antifa and Antifa-like groups are at the center of it,” meaning the rioting.

Biden has failed to condemn Antifa by name at any point.

He sounded like Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) who’s denied that Antifa is even real.

This is a huge problem. How can he claim that he will do anything to address the problem of Antifa if he doesn’t even think it’s real?

It’s bad enough when liberal media refuses to denounce them and pretends they’re not real. But imagine if a president were to deny that reality? You can’t have someone so incompetent with such a lack of reality.

This is the point that Trump needs to pound home in the subsequent debates.
