What is going on with the moderators for the presidential debates?
The two moderators who are selected by the Commission on Presidential Debates, which is supposed to be neutral, seem to both have a fundamental issue of not being objective and Never Trump. Not only that but Steve Scully, the person picked for the second debate, used to work for Joe Biden as an intern and has actually taken his family to at least one party at Biden’s home, as evidenced by tweets from Scully’s account. Not to mention Scully was a staff assistant for Sen. Ted Kennedy.
That’s just wrong, he should never have been picked and if picked, he should have declined because of that relationship because of the conflict. But he hasn’t, which says a lot about him, none of it good.

That contact made some of the people who were previously defending Scully’s position as moderator change their minds. Scully deleted the tweet.
But it gets even worse, as Townhall explained.
And now, Frank Fahrenkopf, Chairman of the Commission on Presidential Debates, is arguing that Scully’s account was hacked. Listen to his interview with Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade here.
“Steve is a man of great integrity, okay?” Fahrenkopf said on “The Brian Kilmeade Show” Friday morning.. “I don’t know this question about whether he tweeted something out or not, I do know, and you’ll probably pick up on it in a minute, that he was hacked…Apparently, there’s something now that’s been on television and the radio saying that he talked to Scaramucci…He was hacked. It didn’t happen.”
They even claim it is being investigated with the help of “authorities”

Seriously? Pray tell, who would that be? Show up the official report to these authorities. We’re supposed to believe that the ‘hacker’ just tweeted some random thing to Scaramucci and anti-Trump Scaramucci responded like it was a normal conversation between the two? Is Scully trying to sell us this rehashed Joy Reid defense? And Fahrenkopf is just parroting it? They’re just digging themselves an even bigger hole and destroying their own credibility on top of his.
Scully’s account wasn’t hacked.

Since Steve Scully claims he was hacked, will he allow Twitter to show all logins to his account?
If he was hacked that could be a serious attempt of a foreign election intervention. If he won’t, did he an the commission lie to the American people?

It’s not clear yet that the second debate is actually going to occur at this point.
The very fact that Scully worked for Biden should have disqualified him. But now with all this on top of that, and the Commission’s apparent decision to flush their own credibility raises even more questions about what’s going on here and why they are so insistent on this guy being a moderator.
