Sometimes you look at tweets from folks in liberal media and wonder if they’ve been asleep over the past two years and have no idea who Joe Biden is or what’s happened over that time.

CNN’s Jake Tapper posted a tweet about China’s treatment of the Uighuers that exactly makes one think that.

“The Chinese government is committing genocide against the Uighurs,” Tapper asserted. “Right now. We know where. And the world is just sitting back and letting it happen. Disney even thanked local party apparatchiks for letting them film Mulan there.”

Oh really? Did you just discover this now? Do you know how long this has been going on? Pro tip? It didn’t just start now.

President Donald Trump condemned it and his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo condemned it, calling it “genocide.”

From NPR:

“I have determined that the People’s Republic of China is committing genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang, China, targeting Uyghur Muslims and members of other ethnic and religious minority groups,” Pompeo said via Twitter, using an alternate spelling for the group. [….]

The secretary’s tweet echoed his official statement in which he said, “I believe this genocide is ongoing, and that we are witnessing the systematic attempt to destroy Uyghurs by the Chinese party-state.”

But Jake and others like him voted against the guy who was standing up to China and calling them out on their human rights offenses. They voted instead for old confused Joe Biden with all his CCP connections.

While the Trump Administration forcefully condemned China on a whole host of human rights issues including the Uighur, not so much old Joe.

What did old confused Joe say when asked about China and the Uighur at the CNN town hall by Anderson Cooper?

As we reported, Biden said about China’s leader, Xi Jinping:

And so the idea – I’m not going to speak out against what he’s doing in Hong Kong, what he’s doing with the Uyghurs in western mountains of China, and Taiwan, and the One China policy by making it forceful. I said – and by the – he said – he – he gets it. Culturally, there are different norms in each country, and they – their leaders are expected to follow.

So in the midst of all that gibberish, Biden excused Xi, claiming there were “culturally” “different norms.”

No wonder China celebrated when they thought they no longer had to deal with Trump standing up to them and they would get their buddy Joe with all his son’s and his own connections to China. The fact that they were thrilled tells you everything you need to know.

So congratulations, Jake, you’ll no longer have Trump’s tweets to complain about. So instead of the guy who looked out for American interests, didn’t bring new wars and brought peace initiatives, you now got Joe “He’s been wrong on every foreign policy point for the past 40 years” Biden. Nothing is going to be done to stop the genocide and you voted for that. Great job.

Imagine if someone was in a position to actually press Biden to follow up on his horrible answer that gave the CCP a pass. You know, someone like a journalist or something…
