Fight of the Century: Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg Reportedly Agree to Cage Match

We’ve been seeing all kinds of changes since Elon Musk took over Twitter, and it’s been a great thing for free speech.

That’s making Mark Zuckerberg nervous and he’s trying to come up with things to challenge Twitter. Musk called out that effort.

That evolved into a challenge. As an aside, Musk also said he would be up for a “cage match” with Zuckerberg.

Then Zuckerberg posted a screenshot of Elon’s tweet, with the caption “send me location.”

Musk responded, “Vegas Octagon.” That’s used for Ultimate Fighting Championship bouts.

Musk joked about having a move he termed the “Walrus,” “Where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing.”

He also said, “I almost never work out, except for picking up my kids & throwing them in the air.” He doesn’t sound like he gets in much exercise.

But he said if Zuckerberg was serious, “If this is for real, I will do it.”

Dana White who said he had spoken to both of them, said they were both serious and wanted to do it. Elon responded with flames so it would appear he was agreeing with what White said.

White said this would be the biggest fight in the history of the world and could raise all kinds of money for charity. “Everybody would want to see it,” he said.

While Elon said he had some training a long time ago, Zuckerberg has more recent training, as you can see below.

Zuckerberg also has an age advantage, he’s 39. Musk is 51. Although Musk does have the height and weight advantage.

Someone posted a comparison list of their relative strengths and weaknesses, to which Elon said, “Accurate.”

Former champion Jake Shields offered Elon some training to help him for the match.

But Elon’s mom was not a fan of the match and urged him to make it a “verbal fight” only, acting just like a mother who wants to protect her boy.

Musk had prior neck surgery.

I think it would be a great fight and potentially great fun. But I also do have a concern that Musk not get injured and place any free speech gains we’ve made on Twitter in jeopardy. In my saying that, I realize it’s concerning that such free speech can be so fragile when it’s so dependent on the health of one guy. That isn’t the way that it should be in our free nation and I blame that on Democrats for putting it so at risk and note we have to broaden our speech options.
