Biden Finally Weighs in on Impeachment Inquiry - It's as Bizarre as You Would Imagine

Joe Biden has been ducking any kind of response to the media when he's been asked about an impeachment inquiry over the past couple of days.

On Tuesday, he held a "Cancer Cabinet" meeting with his wife Jill and was asked about the inquiry then. But with handler Jill there, he managed to avoid answering the question in an embarrassing display, as she treated him like a little child, patting him and telling him he'd done well with the remarks that he gave.

But Biden finally did speak to the issue of the impeachment inquiry at a campaign event in McLean, Virginia, on Wednesday evening.

“Well, I tell you what, I don’t know quite why, but they just knew they wanted to impeach me. Now, best I can tell they want to impeach me because they want to shut down the government,” Biden said at a campaign reception in McLean, Va.

Wait, what? Republicans want to impeach him to shut down the government? Does he have any idea what he is saying anymore? How would an impeachment inquiry or even impeaching him shut down the government? That makes no sense at all. But then again, it's Joe Biden. It's like he's conflating his fights with the Republicans into one thing and doesn't know how to distinguish them anymore. Of course, he wants to avoid talking about any of the issues that have come out for years about the scandal involving his son, Hunter, and the alleged influence peddling. But this is a pretty poor deflection on his part.

Biden claimed he wasn't focused on the impeachment inquiry.

“So look, look, I got a job to do," Biden said. "Everybody always asked about impeachment. I get up every day, not a joke, not focused on impeachment. I’ve got a job to do. I’ve got to deal with the issues that affect the American people every single solitary day,” Biden added before he moved on to talk to fundraiser attendees about a different subject.

He's right - he does have a job to do — except the American people think he's doing a pretty lousy job, according to the polls, especially when it comes to the economy. The American people don't want him to run again; they don't think he's up to the job. In a poll about what one word Americans thought about Biden, over 25 percent -- the biggest group -- came up with “old,” “outdated,” “retire,” “elderly,” “aging,” “senile,” and “dementia.” He keeps doing things like this that show precisely why they think this.

Despite Biden trying to pretend the impeachment inquiry is nothing and fluff it off in public statements, the White House has already shown they know they're in big trouble. They pulled a desperate move, putting out "talking points" to the media, demanding that they "ramp up the scrutiny" on the Republicans. If they weren't so worried, they wouldn't have made such a heavy-handed move and exposed how much they think they can dictate to the media. As we noted, some media went right along with it and parroted their demands

If they're already melting down this much and the inquiry has just started, you know they're going to lose it big time as all the evidence comes out and gets exposed for the American public to see.
