WATCH: Chaos As Hunter Shows Up at House Contempt Hearing, Flees After Getting Blasted by Mace and MTG

If there's one thing you can say about Hunter Biden, he certainly is into high drama. But he doesn't have a lot of sense about what he does.

As we've previously noted, rather than complying with congressional subpoenas, he made a scene on the Capitol steps attacking Republicans and then leaving, without complying and testifying. He was subpoenaed to testify behind closed doors so he could be questioned at length by staff about his father's involvement and so you wouldn't have issues like time limits on members ability to ask questions.

Then the Republicans marked up resolutions to charge him with contempt of Congress and were considering the issue in a hearing on Wednesday.

Guess who showed up at the hearing? Mr. Drama himself, Hunter Biden, with the guy known as his "sugar bro," Kevin Morris.  I don't know who thought this was a good idea if he wasn't going to fully comply with the subpoena.

But instead he sat in the audience, members of Congress tore into him.

Hunter wanted to show up and make faces, play for drama in the audience, and found out that was a bad idea when Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) laid into him.

“My first question is who bribed Hunter Biden to be here today?” Mace said.

“You are the epitome of white privilege coming into the Oversight Committee spitting in our face ignoring a congressional subpoena to be depose.? What are you afraid of? You have no balls.”

Mace added: “I think Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now, and go straight to jail.” [....]

“Hunter Biden wasn’t afraid to sell access to Joe Biden to the highest bidder when he was an elected office. He wasn’t afraid to trade on the Biden brand, peddle influence and share those ill gotten gains with members of his family, including Joe Biden,” Mace said.

“He wasn’t afraid to compromise the integrity of the presidency and vice presidency by involving Joe Biden shady business deals with our foreign adversaries. But Hunter Biden, you were too afraid to show up for a deposition and you still can’t today.” Mace added “My last message to you, Hunter Biden, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.”

Indeed, if he's there, he could be arrested. Maybe he didn't understand that. But at some point maybe he did, or maybe he realized his gambit wasn't working, and got up to flee.

That's when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) mocked him as he left.

Then media descended on him outside the hearing room and put him on a grill.

Then came possibly the best question of the day.

I'm just thinking this probably wasn't a good idea, especially before his arraignment Thursday in a federal courtroom in California on tax evasion charges.
