Ilhan Omar Ups the Ante, Attacks Mike Johnson for Columbia Remarks Condemning Antisemitic Chaos

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) went to New York City, on Wednesday, as we reported. He joined with other Republicans Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY), and Rep. Anthony Esposito (R-NY), to meet with Jewish students, stand in their defense, and call out the antisemitic chaos on the campus of Columbia University.

Johnson spoke about the foundations of our country and the rule of law.

My message to students inside the encampment is to get-- go back to class and stop the nonsense. Look, if we want to have a debate on campus about the merits of these things, let's do that. But you can't intimidate your fellow students and make them stay home from class. Think about that--is that right? Do you think that's right? Stop wasting your parents' money, Congressman Lawler says. I think that's right.

He called out the protesters for shouting down people with whom they disagreed. So naturally, they tried to shout him down too.

Who could object to Johnson saying don't harass your fellow students? Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). Of course.

According to her, supporting Jewish students and calling to stop the antisemitic chaos is "stirring up more anger and hate."

In her unhinged worldview, apparently calling out antisemitic hate equals hate. She claimed that what he said could "endanger the lives of the young people at the encampment." Forget about the Jewish students being harassed or attacked, or the radicals chanting in favor of terrorists.

Omar claimed the students behind this encampment don't want their parents' money to "go in supporting a genocide they oppose."

How bizarrely twisted is she? "I do believe that history is going to be on their side," Omar said referring to the protesting students. "And these members who think that this is a political opportunity to turn the world against these people who are standing for a morally just right cause are going to be looked at and mocked in history."

I don't think so. First, if there's any "genocide" being attempted here, it's the attempt by Hamas to "genocide" Israel and the Jewish people. Notice these characters don't care about that.  You even have some of the leftist activists who have chanted support for Hamas. Now if the students were really principled they'd quit the university, if they truly thought that the University was supporting a genocide. But notice they're not doing that because they still want that privilege. They want to force everyone to comply with what they want.

Contrary to what Omar thinks, they will go down in history as useful idiots. But this says everything you need to know about Omar (if you don't already know it).
