As we reported, charges were filed against Tyler Robinson, the man accused in the assassination of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.

Utah County District Attorney Jeff Gray announced that Robinson faced seven counts, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering. He also noted his intent to seek the death penalty in this case. He laid out aggravating factors, saying that it was done because of Kirk's "political expression" and knowing that children would be present.

Gray explained that yes, the mother had said that Robinson had become more left over the past year, "becoming more gay and trans rights-oriented," and had started dating his roommate, who was a biological male who was "transitioning."

That prompted discussions with his father, who "had very different political views."

Robinson commented on Kirk's upcoming event at Utah Valley University, saying it was a "stupid venue" and he accused Kirk of "spreading hate."

I think that pretty much settles the question about his political orientation, but I'm sure the folks on the left will try to come up with some spin on this.

But that wasn't all. The information filed in the case not only noted what the mother said, but it also outlined the exchange that Robinson had with his boyfriend after the shooting when he allegedly confessed to the shooting, and said things that might go to motive.

Here's the full information filed.

Here's the part that stands out about the conversation. Robinson had his roommate look under his keyboard, where there was a note, "I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I'm going to take it."

He confessed that he did it because "some hate can't be negotiated out." He said if he could grab his rifle, he would have "left no evidence," but was fretting that he couldn't get to it to retrieve it. He said he'd been planning it for a bit over a week and was worried about what his father would do if he didn't bring back "Grandpa's rifle."

"The F-ing messages are mostly a big meme."

"If I see ’notice bulge owo’ on Fox News, I’m going to have a stroke."

Robinson told the roommate to "delete the exchange" and not to talk.
