This Texas House Rep Shows Amateurs How To Kill a Bill [VIDEO]

If you aren’t from Texas, you may not be familiar with the name “Jonathan Stickland,” so allow me to introduce him.

Jonathan Stickland, the liberty-loving Texas House Representative in district 92, has made a name for himself during the last two sessions at the state capitol by fighting to kill bills that threaten the freedoms and conservative principles Texans hold dear.

Stickland is being challenged on March 1st in Texas by Scott Fisher. Fisher was handpicked and funded generously by the establishment. Fisher, ironically a pastor by occupation, has also engaged in some of the nastiest mudslinging known to politics, showing how desperately the Austin establishment wants to win this race.

In fact, Mark P. Jones, a political science professor at Rice University, noted, “If the GOP establishment and Austin Lobby could get rid of only one incumbent legislator this cycle, that incumbent would most likely be Stickland.”

Stickland has kept true to his character and his promise to run a positive campaign based on his record and achievements, and for that he should be commended.

Let this video serve to remind us that success in politics isn’t always measured in bills passed. In fact, the argument could be made that stopping the bad bills from becoming law can end up being more important.

The best offense is a good defense. Thank you, Representative Stickland, for always defending liberty and conservative principles in Texas.
