Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX-2) is a Navy SEAL who lost his right eye during an IED explosion in Afghanistan in 2012. Even after losing his eye, Crenshaw continued to serve in the military before being medically retired in 2016.

Though now a Congressman, Crenshaw has never forgotten the military veterans he knew and/or served with, some of who lost their lives fighting for their country. In a moving Memorial Day tribute, the freshman Congressman posted stories and photos of some of them, which you can read below:

On this Memorial Day and ever day, may God be with their families and all military families who lost loved ones who were serving their country.
