As Nick Arama wrote over the weekend, so-called “conservative” George Conway stooped to new lows on his Twitter feed Saturday, attacking Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) as “lying trash” and encouraging his Twitter following of mostly diehard liberals and mainstream media reporters (but I repeat myself) to support Tedra Cobb, a Democrat who wants to unseat her in 2020.

While supporting a liberal Democrat to “own the cons” is nothing new for Conway, it was his description of rising Republican star Stefanik as “trash” that had conservatives, Republicans, and decent people everywhere unleashing hell on his mentions. In spite of that, Conway continued attacking Stefanik, even sharing (but later deleting) a fake picture of her flipping the bird during the impeachment inquiry hearings.

One prominent conservative who defended Stefanik from Conway’s smears was Nikki Haley, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Haley has been busy promoting her new book “With All Due Respect“, but on Saturday she tweeted this show of support for Stefanik:

On Monday, Haley continued her defense of Stefanik, saying George Conway was the last person who should be calling anyone else “trash”:

Conway, who has hypocritically complained about President Trump’s tone and mannerisms in the past, didn’t like his words being turned around on him and swiped at Haley in response:

He’s also trying to escalate the Twitter attacks on Haley, and is still promoting Stefanik’s (potential) Democratic opponent today:

Haley’s defenses of Trump oftentimes mirror Kellyanne Conway’s defenses. Kellyanne Conway has called Trump truthful, has stated many of the media/left’s attacks on him are wrong and/or unfair (see one example below):

Are her defenses of Trump also “the very essence of disgusting, trashy, and pathetic—utterly shameless and transparent dishonesty”?

George Conway can’t have it both ways, but he’s trying to. He relentlessly bashes Trump’s Republican defenders while avoiding the question of why it’s different for his own wife to say some of the same things the President’s other defenders do.

It’s pathetic and so unbelievably disrespectful to his wife for him to show out like this. Nevertheless, as I wrote this weekend, he’ll still be beloved in liberal media circles and invited to all the cool cocktail parties because Orange Man Bad and stuff.
