What is it with Democrats and the mainstream media pointing out certain so-called “silver linings” about the Wuhan coronavirus crisis?

For example, CNN’s chief climate correspondent Bill Weir stated last week that there was a perception that the virus “has helped humanity buy some time against global warming.”

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace was even worse, asking a guest on her weekday program “about whether or not there’s some silver lining [in this crisis], that some of the things that we’ve been talking about for three years may be finally catching up with [Trump]?”

The latest example of a media figure who found a possible “good thing” about the Wuhan coronavirus economic crisis was NBC News “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd, who had this to say right before he cut to a commercial break on his Sunday morning program earlier today:

“If there’s a good thing about this economic crisis, it’s been the clean air, and views we haven’t seen for a long time. Take a look.”

Watch:

Sure, Chuck. Thank goodness the millions of struggling people who have been out of work for weeks have something nice to look at while they’re worried about where their next meal is coming from, and wondering when they can get back to work in order to provide for themselves and for their families.

On the other hand, I bet House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) enjoys those nice views when she’s sampling some of the premium cakes and ice cream treats she has stored in her expensive refrigerators as she lounges in her posh San Francisco home, proud of herself for holding up economic aid for small businesses.

Seriously, it’d really be nice if “journalists” and Democrats alike (but I repeat myself) would show a little less tone-deafness when talking about the virus issue, but clearly that’s asking way too much.
