Goya Foods CEO Robert Unanue has faced boycott threats ever since videos circulated on social media last week of him saying “We’re all truly blessed … to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder” during a Thursday Rose Garden ceremony announcing a “Hispanic Prosperity Initiative” that will, according to the White House, “improve Hispanic Americans’ access to educational and economic opportunities.”

In the face of those threats, Unanue has vowed not to apologize and says he won’t back down, claiming the calls to boycott his company from Democratic politicians and their supporters amounted to attempts at “suppression of speech.”

After Unanue received notice from Democrats that they were on the march to cancel his company after nearly 85 years of service to the Hispanic community, Republicans eagerly stepped up to support him by buying Goya Foods products for home cooking, while others started GoFundMe campaigns to raise money to buy enough Goya products to stock local food pantries.

President Trump’s daughter Ivanka took to the Twitter machine Tuesday night to express her support for Goya in a photo tweet in which she stated: “If it’s Goya, it has to be good”:

For this simple show of support, “journalists” rushed to file reports on how Ivanka Trump’s tweet “may be illegal.” Here are several examples of “reporters” and media outlets concern-trolling over what they claim are “ethics concerns” about her tweet:

The White House’s response was pitch-perfect, noting that this was the sly way the media had decided to show its support for the boycott movement:

To break this down, the media is not concerned in any way, shape, or form about any alleged “ethics violations”, because if Michelle Obama had done similarly during President Obama’s two terms, she would have been showered with praise for being “woke” and supporting a minority-owned company. Instead, what this is about is the mainstream media showing their solidarity with the AOCs of the world by pretending to worry about whether or not Ms. Trump ran afoul of ethics rules.

The mainstream media and Democrats trying to hurt the Hispanic community to own the cons because Orange Man Bad. Who knew?
