As per the norm for a minority who refuses to toe the Democrat line, businesswoman and conservative activist Kim Klacik ruffled a lot of feathers on the left Friday after dunking liberal “View” co-host Joy Behar all over the place by reminding her about her blackface past during a contentious exchange.

Klacik was the summarily cut off by several other co-hosts who proceeded to melt down and clutch pearls as the producers hurriedly segued to a commercial break.

Undeterred, the GOP nominee for Maryland’s 7th Congressional District capitalized on the attention her “View” appearance received by releasing a blockbuster campaign ad two days later where she described her bold vision for Baltimore which, if realized, would upend 53 years of Democratic rule and neglect of the city nicknamed “Charm City” in 1975:

“Our streets should be a reflection of our leaders: clean, not dirty,” she said [in the ad]. She offered some solutions. She said that she will support tax credits and incentive programs to give residents in the city a chance to buy some of the 17,000 vacant homes in the city. She said she wants to end the “school to prison pipeline” by introducing school choice.

She also talks about how there is a feeling in the city that it was somehow left behind, and once was one of the most “prosperous, populated and powerful” in the country. She said a “broken Baltimore does not have to be our future.”

Klacik’s new ad ends with a group of women dressed in red forming a group behind her that appears eager to cast a vote for the Republican.

Neat visuals of how the city could be transformed under the right leadership were also shown in the video. Watch:

The ad, which has 25,000 RTs as of this writing and nearly a million views, is a follow-up to one she released a month ago that went viral, so much so that it even got the attention of President Trump, who endorsed her. Klacik also spoke at the Republican National Convention last month.

Klacik’s Democratic opponent is former NAACP president Kweisi Mfume. Both are vying for the seat formerly held by Rep. Elijah Cummings, who passed away October 17, 2019. Mfume, who represented the district for 9 years prior to Cummings’ 1996 election, won the special election in April to serve out the remainder of Cummings’ term.
