WATCH: Things Get Weird When Reporter Confronts Ilhan Omar on Repeated Calls for ‘Ceasefire’

Rep. Ilhan Omar's week has gone from bad to worse.

Not only was she caught pushing fake news about "child genocide" and how Israel was allegedly conducting an "ethnic cleansing" all because they were alerting Gaza civilians in advance that they might want to evacuate, but she had to walk back an inflammatory tweet where she falsely accused the IDF of "bombing" a Gaza hospital, which military experts/analysts later concluded was likely a misfired PIJ rocket that exploded in a nearby parking lot.

Omar's primary method of communication since Hamas started the war against Israel nearly two weeks ago has been social media and back channels, talking to some of her favorite media outlets and portraying herself as a victim but not appearing in public too much so as to avoid scrutiny.

But on Friday, her statements in which she's called for a "ceasefire" caught up with her in the halls of Congress when Fox News reporter Hillary Vaughn repeatedly questioned her on her stance and if it was her position that Israel just put down their arms and allow themselves to continue to be victimized by Hamas terrorists.

Things got weird when, instead of answering, Omar quickly jumped into an elevator and declared Vaughn to be a "crazy lady," telling her handlers to "ignore" Vaughn who stood there at the elevator door waiting for an answer that never came:

"Congresswoman, you have called for a cease-fire — are you okay with Hamas terrorists continuing to exist?" correspondent Hillary Vaughn asked Omar in the halls of Capitol Hill on Friday.

"Do you think that Israel should just lay down their arms and not try to get the hostages out of Gaza?" Vaughn continued to press. "How can Israel have a cease-fire with terrorists whose entire mission is to wipe out their existence?"

With each question, Omar remained silent until Vaughn stepped into the elevator entryway, preventing the elevator doors from closing on the congresswoman.

"Ignore this crazy lady, don’t worry about her," Omar said.

Watch:

Omar, of course, won't answer the question because she knows that people can see right through what "ceasefire" means in the eyes of the Hamas Caucus. It means the Israeli military stops fighting and defending its residents while Hamas gets to continue kidnapping, raping, and slaughtering innocent people, all with Iran's blessing.

Only two of the numerous Squad members who have called for a ceasefire have effectively said the quiet part loud about what they mean by a so-called "ceasefire" - Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Cori Bush.  But though Omar hasn't done the same, her lack of an explanation for her position - and ordering her staff to ignore a reporter's question about it - is confirmation in my view of where she stands on Israel's right to defend itself.

In other words, silence is violence.
