Retail theft, organized and unorganized alike, has unquestionably become a big problem across America to the extent that some businesses have been forced to take drastic measures to stay open and serve their respective communities.

Those measures include but are not limited to locking up merchandise like toothpaste and razors behind glass doors and limiting aisles that are available for shopping.

In some instances, the stores have had little option but to shut down.

Incredibly (but not surprisingly), this has led to cries of "racism!" from the Usual Woke Suspects in Democrat-run cities who believe store owners should keep their doors open out of the goodness of their hearts even though they're losing money and employees and customers alike feel unsafe.

This form of anti-capitalism where retailers are made out to be the enemy over the crime of cutting their losses and moving on is not just limited to blue-state Democrats in positions of power. We also see it in the radical left-wing activists who reside in these same cities and states, where trying to social media-shame their local supermarket or drugstore is fairly commonplace.

Such was the case with pro-Cuba activist Calla Walsh, who recently took to the Twitter machine to complain about the fact that she had to get a Target employee to unlock a glass door so she could get basic things (language warning):

Ms. Walsh, I should note, was once lovingly portrayed by the New York Times in 2021 as an up-and-coming leftist star and force to be reckoned with in Massachusetts politics when she was 16 years old. Predictably, she has advanced to participating in antisemitic protests, including one in the aftermath of the October 7th Hamas terrorist attacks, a protest that allegedly turned violent and which resulted in her arrest for "vandalizing property and disorderly conduct."

In November, she was arrested again under similar circumstances:

They were each charged with riot, sabotage, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct and are scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

A preliminary investigation determined that the smoke that was coming from the building's roof was caused by an incendiary device similar to ones later located on one of the suspects. While clearing the roof, officers noted additional damage consisting of more spraypainting, smashed skylights and damage to HVAC equipment.

But back to her tweet, it wasn't long before someone brought to her attention the fact that Ms. Walsh supports the very thing that forces businesses to have to put those items under lock and key in the first place:

Yup. Can't have it both ways, though these unhinged folks will most certainly try.
