Moore to the Point - Feats of Strength

Like many Americans, my television consumption in the 90s included a healthy dose of Seinfeld. Which, in turn, means that I have a sincere appreciation for Festivus — and the traditional airing of grievances and feats of strength associated with it.

While we’re used to seeing athletes demonstrating feats of strength as they compete on the playing field of whichever sport we happen to be spectating, the notion of such competitions in the corporate or political arena is a bit of a newer twist. Boardroom grappling and debate stage weightlifting haven’t made their way into the Olympics as of yet, but they may be becoming a thing.

We’ve got Twitter’s Elon Musk and META’s Mark Zuckerberg vowing to face off in an MMA cage match sometime in the not-too-distant future — the bout is billed to raise money for charity, but really, it seems to be about determining whose platform is bigger — or…better.

And we’ve got 69-year-old Democratic presidential candidate RFK Jr. bench pressing and doing pushups while bare-chested and showing off a not-at-all-shabby physique.

There may only be 11 years separating Kennedy and the current president chronologically, but physiologically, we’re talking worlds apart. So what if the DNC won’t let them debate, and YouTube keeps yanking his videos? Maybe all it will take is some viral vids of Bobby’s feats of strength to best Joe.
