Brett Kavanaugh Will Forgive What Happened to Him but There Is Someone Who Probably Won't

Yesterday, a desiccated version of Fat Jerry Nadler showed up on ABC, sharing his wisdom with anyone who takes aging Clinton muppet George Stephanopoulos seriously. One of his insights — and I’m not making this up — was that because Democrats had smeared his reputation with an unsubstantiated allegation that he groped a girl in high school, wagged his peepee at another woman in college, and was maestro of a gang rape conspiracy and he was angry about it, that he couldn’t hear any cases of interest to Democrats if he were confirmed:

The fact that Kavanaugh responded as an innocent man would respond is not disqualifying and, at any rate, Ginsberg hasn’t recused herself from any of the cases involving the Administration despite her stated contempt for President Trump:

No. I suspect that Justice Kavanaugh will forever remember his treatment by the Senate Democrats but, as a Catholic Christian, he will forgive them and, as a professional, he will rule on the merits of cases as he sees them. If anything, he might even be inclined to lean in their direction just to show fairness. How will that work? Not all that well, I’m guessing.

When I first met my wife-to-be, she informed me of how her family operated. Her Dad, she said, would blow up and then forget about whatever it was that had made him angry. Her Mom, she said, never forgot. Her Mom decided who the family was speaking to and who they weren’t and if you worked to get on her Mom’s sh**-list, it would be a cold day in Hell before you got off from it. While her Mother frequently overlooked slights to herself, if you did the same to her husband or children you were effectively dead.

If you watched Ashley Kavanaugh at Thursday’s shameful hearing you could see she was taking it much harder than was Kavanaugh, himself. Ashley Kavanaugh is the one who has had to comfort her daughters and perhaps explain to them what the allegations actually mean. She is the one who has had to deal with the snickers behind her back. She is the one who has to deal with her kids being ridiculed.

She is the one, better than anyone, who knows that Brett Kavanaugh didn’t do these things. And if she’s half the woman she seems to be, she’s not going to forget or forgive anyone associated with the slime that has been flung at her husband and at her family. If Kavanaugh is forced to choose between happy Democrats and a happy wife, I hope he chooses wisely.
