This is the backdrop for the story.

A while back, Ilhan Omar, the Democrat was in a video that surfaced that showed her giggling about people being concerned about al Qaeda.

President Trump commented on this.

So when she was part of a silly press conference today in which they labeled a tweet by President Trump a “white nationalist agenda” it was not illogical that she would be asked about this. And she was.

How hard would it have been to condemn al Qaeda and then segue to a condemnation of the racist and xenophobic nature of the statement? Not hard at all. And yet we have people willing to run interference for her, like this by Guy Benson who I think is totally wrong on this

She is obviously pro-al Qaeda given the way she ridicules concern about them after what happened on 9/11. Besides why would we cut her slack on this area and not on anti-Semitism when her words are at the root of both charges?

On the whole, this press conference did more to define these four harpies than it did to damage Trump. And as they become the face of the modern Democrat party we will be seeing more of this.
