The big outrage last week revolved around the trial and sentencing of Roger Stone. First, a cabal of progressive prosecutors lied to their boss, and through him to Department of Justice, about their sentencing recommendation. When the Attorney General reacted to the excessive, abusive, and vindictive sentencing recommendation by repudiating it, the prosecutors resigned from the case and the leftwing legal community collectively lost its crap. That was capped off by the revelation that the foreman of Roger Stone’s jury was not only a failed Democrat congressional candidate but had an extensive social media history of making and distributing the most outrageous slurs and conspiracy theories about President Trump, his campaign, and Republicans…and she lied about the extent of said activity on her questionnaire.

Stone’s defense counsel, that rather inexplicably allowed her on the jury in the first place, filed a long-shot motion for a new trial. The judge, a thoroughly woke Obama appointee named Amy Berman Jackson, held a hearing this morning, ignored the motion, and scheduled sentencing for Thursday.

The real drama now moves toward sentencing. Will Berman Jackson go with the 7-9 years recommended by the the original prosecutors? Will she go with the 3-4 years hinted by the Justice Department revised recommendation? Will Donald Trump finally say screw it and pardon Stone? Stand by for more.
