The US military has launched a fresh round of strikes against Houthi installations which are targeting traffic in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. The strikes hit Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles. It was an anti-ship ballistic missile used in yesterday's attack on the US-owned, Marshall Islands-flagged M/V Gibraltar Eagle.

BACKGROUND: Yemen's Houthis Were So Terrified by Biden's Attack That They've Started Attacking US Ships Again

The details of the strike are unclear at the moment. According to reports, four missiles being prepared for launch were hit and considered an "imminent" threat. We don't know how the missile sites were attacked.

What can be inferred is that this was not a reprisal for two attacks yesterday, one on a US destroyer and the other on a US-protected container ship. It may be that we are starting a strategy of attacking Houthi missiles and drone launching operations that are deemed an imminent threat to shipping.
