I am not opposed to using military personnel on our porous southern border.
I’ve long said more boots on the ground is a better solution than some magical, mystical fantasy wall.
Somebody apparently worked that into President Trump’s brain.
President Trump has ordered National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, the administration said Wednesday, looking to stiffen security while he pressures Congress to deliver more resources to build walls and hire more Border Patrol agents.
It’s a good idea, but maybe focus on technology like drones, with the capability of spotting those attempting to cross the border before they get close, alerting resources on the ground, and getting those resources in the right place to block.
Homeland Security will be working with state governors and the Pentagon to make the arrangements for getting National Guard units to the border.
