Thanks Joe Biden: Inflation Hits Booze Prices Right Before the Holiday

Good ole Uncle Joe Biden — he has shown in just under a year what forty-plus years in Washington D.C. can do for you as President.

Screw stuff up at a record pace.

If you have not been keeping up with the news for the past 10 months, you then have missed that the Biden administration has directly lorded over so many problems of their own creation and they seem to relish it. Their good intent is meaningless when the real-world effects of their leadership is a nationwide trainwreck for the country.

Things have gotten so bad that Biden and his team have decided to throw the first female Veep under the bus while Democrats look for a way off this political version of the Titanic before the 2022 mid-terms. My colleague Bonchie covered part of this in this piece right here. Joe Biden Stabs Kamala Harris in the Back, as Democrats Scramble for a Way Out. From that article…

The relationship between Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and their respective staffs has been on rocky ground for months. As RedState previously reported, the vice president and her camp have complained about being abandoned, even blaming racism as a possible factor, while the White House has fretted at Harris’ sheer incompetence and inability to garner support on her own.

Those tensions have led to lots of speculation about what exactly happens in 2024. Harris is clearly a terrible candidate, something she showed during the 2020 presidential primary, but she’s also the heir apparent until Democrats forcibly remove her from that position.

Well, it sounds like the move to neutralize her has been made. As far-fetched and ridiculous as it sounds, Joe Biden is now telling allies that he will run in 2024, knee-capping Harris’ prior plan to ascend to the throne after a single, transitory term from Biden.

Wow, who would have ever thought that Kamala Harris would possibly pull the race card? Why she might have only accused Biden of that during the Democratic debates in 2020 and the Biden team STILL picked her for the number two slot.

#Rubes.

Well, this Biden-inspired crisis is now spilling over into something that America loves and uses to deal with all the nonsense and garbled talk coming from the President. Inflation and rationing are hitting the booze sector. How far can they push our wearied souls?

From the Daily Wire

The United States is facing a liquor shortage ahead of the holiday season due to the supply chain crisis — and states with government liquor stores are rationing their inventory.

Container ships are waiting to unload in the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports as labor shortages in the United States and COVID-19 lockdowns in Asia create shipping bottlenecks. Despite President Biden’s decision to keep the Port of Los Angeles open “24 hours a day, seven days a week,” the crisis has persisted.

Indeed, many economists expect the problems to last for several months. The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development said that high consumer demand and supply-side constraints — such as “container ship carrying capacity, container shortages, labour shortages, continued on and off COVID-19 restrictions across port regions and congestion at ports” — could lead to price hikes through 2023.

“The caps have been one of my biggest fears with the supply chain. It typically would be a four-to-six-week lead time when all is well. That has been extended to four to six months,” explained manager Jim Logan.

Now, you might recall that during the fevered height of the pandemic roller coaster last year, one of the essential places that were open in almost all states were places that sold BOOZE. The reason why is quite obvious: If you are ordered to sit home with people you only see during the holidays, drink like it is the holidays. Americans love their hoo-hah in liquid form and now that both inflation and rationing are occurring, that might make people a bit more sour on the Build Back Better plan that Biden Inc. is pushing.

Let’s be honest here, you really need to be drunk to believe anything positive from that plan will occur. Lots of booze — and not at hyper-inflated prices — would certainly help something make-believe look true.

So it seems that the America Joe Biden always envisioned was one where costs skyrocket and we are all just supposed to grin and bear it. All in the name of fairness or equality or something like that.

I’m glad that I have some good whiskey and bourbon stored up to deal with this new Biden’s America because I’m going to need it.
