Hope and Change and Trump:  Eight years of hope and change is not enough for some people. Some people want even more of the Obama policies than they have now.  The American Mirror says this lady from Atlanta  has threatened to divorce her husband if he won’t vote for Trump! We could ask Sarah Palin how that “hopey-changy thing” works out, but word is she is out on the campaign trail.

“Trump gives me real hope and change, not fake hope and change.”

Cartoons and signage to thwart assaults in Germany: German officials have a new “weapon” they’re unleashing to curb assaults by migrants that have taken up residence in that country.  Cartoon leaflets are being handed out at public pools and other public places. Fox News says one :

“…depicts a hand reaching for a shapely, bikini-clad woman’s backside, and bears a universal-language slash demonstrating such behavior is forbidden. “No verbal and bodily sexual harassment toward women in any kind of clothing,” reads the caption below.”

The jury is still out as to whether leaflets are going to stop the migrant’s behavior. A muslim imam, Sami Abu-Yusuf, said it was not the migrants but the women who were to blame for the assault, because they “dress half naked and wear perfume.”

Democrat Interlopers?  George Pataki, who recently ended his Republican run for the presidency, said you may think the GOP has problems but the Democrats have major issues of their own.  The Hill said Pataki feels the legal issues plaguing Hillary Clinton could “force” others to get in the race.

“Hillary Clinton is cratering, the scandals just keep coming. She has grave legal issues that could totally prevent her from continuing her campaign, and the alternative is a self-avowed socialist who has never run anything.”
….
“Pataki added that it would not surprise him to see an “outsider jump into the race” like Vice President Joe Biden, California Gov. Jerry Brown or Secretary of State John Kerry.

Trolling for polls:RCP has up the numbers. In Iowa, a CBS/YouGov poll has Trump leading the pack with 39 percent, Cruz in second with 34 and Rubio in third with 13 percent.  Fox has a new one.  Trump is at 34 percent,  Cruz 23 and Rubio has 12.  For New Hampshire, Trump has 31, more than doubling Cruz’s number 2 spot with 14 percent. Rubio has 13.  In all three polls only Trump, Cruz and Rubio scored in double digits. And in another poll: from the Weekly Standard comes head to head polling against Hillary Clinton. In short, Rubio and Cruz both beat out Clinton, while Trump loses to Clinton.

For those who want Congress to work less: Your wish is being granted.  The House will be out of session the whole week.  The reason given is due to the snow, but in reality it was going to be a short week anyway as Democratic lawmakers were going on retreat starting Wednesday. The snow just cancelled what few days they were going to work.

Quickhits: The TSA reminds Klingons some weapons aren’t for carry on bags. A bat’leth was found last year by a screener. Another was discovered in 2012. Everyone knows sharp objects go in checked luggage;  After 13 years Mulder and Scully are back.

What an odd day:  Today is Beer Can Appreciation day. Homage is given to this day in 1935 when beer was first sold in cans. And, no, I’m not making this stuff up.

Watercooler’s dry for the time being. But check back down in the comments section throughout the day and see what others leave behind. Drop something in yourself while you’re at it. Great thing about the Watercooler. It’s always an Open Thread.
