A REAL Insurrection: Ecuadorian TV Station Taken Over by Gunmen While On-Air, State of Emergency Declared

On Tuesday, a live broadcast by an Ecuadorian television station was interrupted as masked gunmen invaded the studio, with gunshots and shouts heard on the live feed.

The people, wearing balaclavas and mostly dressed in black, were seen wielding guns and accosting huddled staffers before the feed cut out.

Some of the invaders gestured at the camera and someone could be heard yelling "no police".

The national police said on social media it was evacuating the public channel's studio in Guayaquil, verifying the condition of staff there and "reestablishing order".

Police in Guayaquil confirmed 13 arrests, and police social media posts showed photos of young men lying on the floor with their hands zip-tied behind their backs.

The incident followed the kidnappings of at least seven police officers and a series of explosions, a day after Noboa declared a state of emergency.

In case anyone is wondering, this is what a real insurrection looks like. In a real insurrection, the rebels use guns and explosives. They attack people with lethal force. They take politicians, police officers, soldiers, and civilians as hostages. Like this:

Seven police officers were kidnapped in three separate incidents in the southern city of Machala, Quito and Los Rios province, police said earlier.

The police said there were explosions in the provinces of Esmeraldas and Los Rios, while mayor's offices in the cities of Cuenca and Quito confirmed others and the attorney general's office said it was investigating one in Guayaquil. Local media have also reported explosions in Loja and Machala.

And this:

Eleven prison guards who had been taken hostage over the past two days have been released, SNAI added, but 139 guards and other staff are still being held.

Some Ecuadoreans demanded action beyond the state of emergency.

This is, of course, as opposed to the hooliganism that was the January 6th, 2021 events in Washington, DC.

It's not hard to imagine something like this happening in the United States. We've already seen roadways, bridges, and tunnels blocked by "protestors," and in the summer of 2020, we saw rioters looting and burning, with losses to theft and arson in the billions of dollars. The people doing this aren't "Extreme MAGA" Trump supporters, by the way; they are exclusively from the political left. Some are useful idiots, American leftists duped into simping for terrorists; others are committed socialists or Hamas-supporting Islamic fundamentalists.

Ecuador has some bad times ahead. Hopefully, their new president, Daniel Noboa, can get things sorted out; he has already designated 22 criminal gangs as terrorist organizations, and he has declared a 60-day state of emergency — as one does when there is a no-s*** insurrection going on — to try to get a hold on things.

President Noboa would probably be breathing a sigh of relief if the gangs in Ecuador were doing no more than stealing some staplers and taking selfies in the country's capitol.

Protestations by the left about Jan 6th notwithstanding, if an insurrection really does arise in the United States, it will almost certainly be incited and carried out by the left, not the right.
