Biden's Illegal Immigration Failures: He Could Take Action but Refuses

On Monday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, in his ongoing confrontation with the Biden Administration, took to X/Twitter to announce that illegal aliens in Texas will continue to be bussed to the sanctuary cities of their choice. Good for him.

This comes on the same day that journalist Bill Megulin presented a video of illegal aliens, including invaders not only from Latin America but also from China, Turkey, and India, being dropped off by smugglers north of the border in California.

Meanwhile, in Washington, in between "Matlock" reruns, President Biden is promising to do something about the southern border if Congress would only give him the authority.

That's a canard. The President already has the authority to do what needs to be done. While it's possible President Biden doesn't know this, he was, throughout his career, never exactly a Mensa candidate, and now he is growing more and more physically and mentally impaired by the day. But the people who work for him have to be aware of this, which leads us to only one possible conclusion: that this calamity on the southern border is deliberate.

In truth - something with which the Biden Administration seems not even to have a nodding acquaintance - the Executive Branch already has all the authority it needs under Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which states:

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.

It is belaboring the obvious to note that "aliens entering the country illegally" is a "...class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants," which the President can suspect the entry of. In other words, the President has all the authority he needs and always has.

President Biden seems unaware of this. Given his current state, that's hardly surprising.

On some level, somewhere - it's becoming more obvious by the day that the president has very little idea what is going on - the Biden Administration is doing this deliberately. It is impossible to draw any other conclusion. When a prominent border state governor forces sanctuary cities to live up to their self-righteous proclamations and, in frustration over federal inaction, sends state forces to secure the border only to be resisted every step of the way by Washington - what else could possibly explain all this?

What do you call a presidential administration that throws the borders of the United States open to all and sundry? What do you call a political party that openly calls for unrestricted, unscreened, unmonitored immigration?

I'm fortunate to be isolated from the worst of these effects. We don't get a lot of illegal aliens sneaking in from the Yukon Territory into Alaska, and not many people who came here illegally are choosing to be flown to Anchorage. But my concern for my homeland runs beyond the Great Land. My country is being invaded, the president is either unwilling or incapable of acting, and as I keep saying, we don't know who these people are that are coming in; we don't know where they are going or what they intend to do when they get there. But sooner or later, we are going to find out.

And whatever happens, will have happened because of criminal malfeasance on the part of the federal government.
