Microsoft Word Goes Woke

Microsoft has always been a left-wing company, even after the departure of Bill Gates, but things are being taken to another level.

According to Elon Musk, who posted a screenshot of the incident, Microsoft Word, the world's most popular word processor, is now warning about word usage that may not be inclusive. I'm not kidding, there is literally an "inclusiveness" prompt in the same vein as a spell-check.

Though most aren't aware of it, this feature has existed for over a year and also includes options for gender neutrality. It'll prompt you if you say things like "manpower" or "mankind." You can even set it to weed out gendered pronouns and presumably insert a mix of "they/them" instead.

I don't know about you, but I don't need my word processor to scold me for my use of language, much less tell me what I should say instead. If I want to call something insane, then I'm going to call it insane. If I want to say a man can't become a woman, I'm going to say a man can't become a woman. If I want to say Joe Biden is mentally challenged, then it shall be.

I'm not sure most people understand the game that's being played here. Wokeness is pervasive. It seeks to embed itself into the most innocuous places, with the point being to gradually condition otherwise unsuspecting people over time. If Word prompts that certain words are insensitive enough times, guess what most people will do? They'll naturally shy away from those words, even subconsciously, and begin to abide by the terms of the woke left.

How many terms and phrases do people think twice about using today when it wouldn't have even been a second thought a decade or two ago? I'm not talking about objectively racist or offensive language either. Heck, people can't even use normal, gendered pronouns anymore in certain parts of the country without risking harassment and a viral video being taken.

The conditioning is the point. They want normal people to change the way they speak and even the way they perceive things they see in public. With enough beatings over the head, many will do just that. Whether the inclusiveness feature in Microsoft Word can be turned off or not (and how many people would know how?), its mere existence shows the lengths the woke movement will go to. Be on guard.
