Biden's Health Department Pick Took Mother Out of Nursing Home After Ordering COVID Positive Patients In

Joe Biden had only glowing things to say about Dr. Rachel Levine and his ability to be a leader within the Department of Health, but as it happens, Levine is yet another case of a Democrat using their position to benefit themselves while forcing the peasantry to suffer the consequences of leadership’s actions.

Levine, a man who identifies as a woman, was Health Department Secretary of the state of Pennsylvania before he received her job offer to be a leader within the Federal Health Department. While he was there, he made the very Andrew Cuomo-esque decision to throw COVID-positive elderly patients into nursing homes alongside healthy residents back in March.

Levine told the public that he was heartbroken about not being able to see his mother but that it was worth it in order to keep the elderly residents safe.

Fox News reported that he then quietly moved his mother out of the nursing home and to a safer location after Levine and his mother were tipped off that residents there had tested positive for COVID:

In May, a spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health told PennLive.com that Levine and her mother were notified that residents in her personal care facility had tested positive for the virus.

Levine excused his own actions, saying that his mother lived at a personal care facility that doesn’t fall under the same rules as a nursing home.

“My mother requested, and my sister and I as her children complied to move her to another location during the Covid-19 outbreak,” Levine said in a statement to ABC affiliate WHTM-TV. “My mother is 95 years old. She is very intelligent and more than competent to make her own decisions.”

It was then reported that Levine’s decision to throw patients who tested positive for the virus into the nursing homes accounted for 70% of the COVID-19 deaths in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania politicians came down on Levine for the decision that spread the virus cost so many lives.

“Our secretary of health, Dr. Levine, decided that it would be good to allow covid-positive patients to be returned to elder-care facilities. And as a result of that, it broke out like fire,” Mastriano said at a May rally, according to TribLive.com.

So not only is Levine responsible for one of the worst healthcare decisions made during the pandemic, he quietly worked to make sure his mother wasn’t included in the statistics. Levine and his family may have been very aware that putting elderly people in places where COVID-19 was running rampant was going to be risky and didn’t want any personal part of it despite telling the public everything was safe.

Levine seemed fine with rolling the dice for everyone else, and everyone else lost.
